Scottish Wisdom

I recently read a book that had some of the unique Scot wise sayings and I thought I'd share some with you.

1. Everything has an end-but a pudding has two. (Puddings here are like cakes).

2. Eagles catch no fleas. (Huh?).

3. A bald head is easily shaved. (Meaning: an easy job is soon finished).

4. A crow gets no whiter when it's washed. (Meaning: people don't change).

5. A blind man has no need of a mirror. (Meaning: appearance is not all that important).

6. A dog won't howl if it's knocked over by a bone. (Meaning: you don't hurt people by throwing things at them they'll enjoy).

That's all for now. If you enjoyed these I'll post more later.
