Of course remember we are 6 hours ahead of ya'll!
Any who, we had a exciting day today! We had our first visit to the children's hospital emergency room at about lunch time. Caleb fell over in a dining room chair and split open his upper gums on a little entertainment center. It looked as if it had scraped away the skin and you could see bone. So we knocked on our neighbors door (the doctor) and she said it was good to go get it looked at and so she drove Caleb and I up there. Troy walked up there with Josh. It's less than a 10 minute walk. Caleb has scraped and cut gums (no bone exposed) and a slightly busted lower lip and a scrape on his chest but he is fine. The doctor said it didn't need stitches and just to keep it clean by rinsing out with water. We were so thankful! I was trying so hard not to get hysterical...I don't like blood.
We found a library close by and took the boys up there to a baby and toddler music class on Wednesday. They sang songs and rhymes with movements...more than half we didn't know. I am sure we will know them all by January and can teach them to anyone who is interested. We will work on the accent too so that it will seem authentic. I have a feeling that the boys and I will be at the library every Wednesday for this get together. There were a lot of moms there with their "wee ones" and so it will be a good way for me to meet other women.
We had our first taste of fish and chips the other night...chips are fries by the way. It was pretty tasty. There were a couple of small bones in the fist but the fries were homemade and thick. Yummmy! The food over here is quite different...even the packaged food is not made the same way. They don't make things with corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup. They do (thankfully) use regular old sugar though. So things aren't quite as tasty as I remember them but I am sure I will get used to that too.
I am definitly going to load up on Sonic and Mexican food when we come home in January! So get ready everybody!
I still miss home but it is getting to feel more like home here every day and that is a blessing. I really did think I was going to have to leave poor Troy here to his studies while I went back home. But I realized that I would miss him more than I am missing anything from the states (yes even grape jelly). By the way they don't have koolaide or lemonade mix either! They are so missing out. I feel the need to open an american restaurant. Too bad I can't go into work for myself or work more than 20hours a week! :)
Well, I am tired...not because I've done a lot today but because my children have worn me out! Honestly who ever thought two little boys could be so much work! :) I LOVE IT!!!
